The Feria Nacional Apícola de Cantabria, organised by the Asociación Montañesa de Apicultores, is held at the Mercado Nacional de Ganados de Torrelavega and is one of the major beekeeping events in northern Spain. It brings together dozens of exhibitors of beekeeping equipment, honeys and hive products, with technical sessions, honey tastings and educational activities about the bee and its role in rural life.
At a beekeeping fair the stand combines product display —jars of honey, wax, apiary equipment— with tasting and direct sales: it needs counters, good product lighting and an image that conveys closeness and natural origin.
