The Sommet de l'Élevage is Europe's leading livestock trade show: animal genetics, agricultural and livestock machinery and supplies, feed, health and livestock competitions with close to 70 breeds represented. It is held every year in October at the Grande Halle d'Auvergne (Cournon-d'Auvergne, Clermont-Ferrand metropolitan area), with more than 100,000 visitors and around 1,700 exhibitors from dozens of countries.
