The Feira de São Mateus de Elvas is one of the oldest traditional fairs in the Alentejo, held every September at the Parque da Piedade, where trade exhibition, automotive, machinery, gastronomy, crafts and leisure come together before a large audience from southern Portugal and the Spanish border.
